About TEDxLuxembourgCity:

TEDxLuxembourgCity is a local, independently organized TED event that brings together brilliant minds to share ideas worth spreading. We host an annual event featuring thought-provoking talks and performances, aiming to inspire, educate, and connect the Luxembourg community.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Assistant Event Organizer to join our team. This role will support the lead organizer in the planning, coordination, and execution of the annual TEDxLuxembourgCity event. The ideal candidate is passionate about event management, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of event plans and timelines.

  • Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and vendors to ensure seamless event logistics.

  • Help manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial efficiency.

  • Support marketing and promotional activities, including social media, email campaigns, and community outreach.

  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and management for the event day.

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of event materials.

  • Handle attendee inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

  • Ensure all event activities comply with TEDx guidelines and standards.


  • Previous experience in event planning or project management is an asset.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Luxembourgish, French, German) are a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with Wix and Eventbrite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Passion for TED’s mission of spreading ideas worth sharing.

  • Availability to work flexible hours.
