Our Speakers
On 12 May, nine speakers take the TEDxLuxembourgCity stage to share bold ideas, fearless voices, and game-changing stories about learning, creativity, and the choices that shape a life. From a Luxembourgish manga artist who turned her craft into a school, to a physicist who blows up moons on television, to two students aged 13 and 17 already finding their voice, our speakers show that pathways for education are rarely straight, and never ordinary.
Christian Clauwers is a Belgian documentary photographer, explorer, and impact storyteller working at the intersection of science, policy, and society. He documents environmental change from polar regions to remote islands, translating complex realities into powerful visual narratives. An EU Climate Pact Ambassador and Explorers Club Fellow, he bridges awareness, culture, and global environmental dialogue.
A manga artist and creative entrepreneur, Sabrina illustrates manga and designs her own brand of girly clothing and stationery, Himesama.fr. Passionate about education, she has been teaching manga classes throughout Luxembourg since 2011 and supports aspiring artists on YouTube to inspire and showcase the real life of a freelance artist.
Esther Conter is a Luxembourgish performer, educator, and coach who believes that finding your voice is about far more than singing. With a background spanning musical theatre, modern singing, and mindfulness, she helps people unlock creativity and authentic expression, on stage, in the classroom, and beyond. She currently teaches at the Conservatoire Esch.

The purpose of TEDxLuxembourgCity is to bring people together to explore who we are and the world around us. We engage Luxembourg and the greater region to share and explain ideas and create a movement with a view to excite the community and build a better future for us all.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxLuxembourgCity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxLuxembourgCity event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
